Taverna (Terasa)
About This Vendor:
Taverna is currently closed for renovations; they will probably not re-open at their regular location until 2010. You can still enjoy their delicious food and excellent service at Terasa, the restaurant located in the Begin Museum near Yemin Moshe. You can send mail to them by clicking on the link to the right. Taverna, one of Jerusalem’s most prominent and elegant gourmet restaurants, is located on the panoramic Sherover Promenade, affording its guests a spectacular view of the Jerusalem landscape. On a clear day, it is possible to view the Dead Sea and the majestic Jordan Mountains from the large windows of the restaurant. The structure of Taverna is one of contrast; beauty and grandeur are mixed with the simplicity and the modesty of Jerusalem, and the results are truly special. During the winter months, the fireplace adds a homey feeling; and during the summer months, the clean, crisp air flows through the open windows. During the spring/summer, Taverna can accommodate up to 250 guests. The reception, buffet tables, and some of the guest tables can be set up outside on the terrace, where your guests will be surrounded by the breathtaking view. During the winter months, the restaurant can accommodate up to 150 guests. The attentive staff at Taverna makes sure that every event is perfectly set up and orchestrated. A professional sound system is provided for music, speeches, presentations, etc. Taverna offers several different catering menus to choose from, and culinary offerings include fresh fish, rich pasta dishes and quiches, focaccia breads and pizzas made in a brick oven, varied salads and antipasti, and scrumptious desserts. Taverna is certified Kosher by the Jerusalem Rabbinate. Contact Taverna for more information on menus, availability, and pricing. Why We Like This Vendor:
The restaurant is beautiful, the terrace view is amazing, and the food is delicious. Vendor Reviews
